Rob Gronkowski Surprises Woman Waiting For Heart And Kidney Transplant

Rob Gronkowski is slowly making a progress into the New England community, and this time he decided to surprise someone special.

The Patriots tight end decided to visit the 27-year-old Lauren Meizo of Chicopee, Mass. This came after the young woman posted a YouTube video in order to request a meeting with him. Meizo is diagnosed with a rare form of muscular distrophy, and is hospitalized at Brigham and Woman’s hospital.

Meizo has been in this hospital for three months now, and she is waiting for a second heart transplant surgery. The young woman will also need a kidney transplant.

“The reason I am making this video is I would love for Rob Gronkowski – Gronk – from the New England Patriots to come deliver the news of when I get the call. Anytime you want, because I’ve got nothing but time right now,” Meizo sad in her video.

Gronkowski heard about the woman, and made the visit on Monday. He spent magnificent 45 minutes with the woman, and there were cameras catching the touching hug between the two of them. Gronk and Meizo took selfies, and the tight end even signed some Patriots memorabilia for her.

Meizo didn’t hesitate to post a selfie. “Gronk made my wish come true,” she wrote in the caption.

This was definitely a dream come true for the unfortunate woman, and it’s another charitable act by Gronkowski. He also raised $75,000 via his Gronk Nation Youth Foundation, and split the money into three checks. Three hospitals in New England received the money, and it was an honorable gesture for everyone in need.
Gronk seems to be keen on fitting in the community, and fans sure appreciate everything he does for the unfortunate. This is a brilliant story, and we really hope that other players will follow his example as well.
