Tom Brady Opens Up About His Relationship With President Trump

Tom Brady’s friendship has long been a dispute, and some used this relationship to put a black dot on his name. Well, Brady can sure just take the phone in his hand and call the sitting President of the United States. However, if he does that, Brady would definitely want it to remain a secret. Why are people using this to jump in, and attack the star?

“I have called him, yes, in the past. Sometimes he calls me. Sometimes I call. But, again, that’s been someone I’ve known. I always try to keep it in context because for 16 years you know someone before maybe he was in the position that he was in. He’s been very supportive of me for a long time. It’s just a friendship. I have a lot of friends. I call a lot of people,” the NFL quarterback said during his appearance of WEEI’s “Kirk and Callahan” show.

Brady tried to keep the details secret, especially throughout the regular season. But, he took evasive action this time after the President addressed Patriots owner Robert Kraft. This happened during the pre-inaugural dinner. “Your friend Tom just called. He feels good. He called to congratulate us. He feel good,” he said.

Brady might have left this topic off after this particular statement, but he actually elaborated the morning after the Patriots approached to Super Bowl LI. “Why does everybody make such a big deal? I don’t understand it,” he said.
It was a particularly big deal since the MAGA cap was noticed in Brady’s locker in 2015. He’s been facing serious backlash about his friendship with President Trump, and the same happened to Coach Bill Belichick.

Last October, he talked about his friendship with the President, talking about golf and the football team.

“I don’t want to get into it, but if you know someone it doesn’t mean you agree with everything they say or they do. You have a lot of friends in your life. I think there are things that are based in your own dealings with someone that is a personal dealing, not a public dealing. Because you have personal experiences,” Brady said.
