Kawhi Addresses His Desire To Play With LeBron

Kawhi Leonard hasn’t informed fans about his landing for the next season, and we can only rely on rumors. There’s a huge possibility that he ends up playing with LeBron James for the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron will be a free agent, and it seems like Leonard likes to play with him.

Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports said that Leonard contacted James to express his willingness to join his game. “A source close to LeBron tells me that Leonard reached out to James, telling him he very much wanted to play together. They spoke about Kawhi’s lockdown defensive ability, which would alleviate pressure off of LeBron.” Schultz tweeted.

He didn’t fail to mentioned that the duo would make quite a deal, as it will take the pressure off of James on the floor. Leonard is a strong defender, and he is was given the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2015 and 2016.

“I’m hearing that Kawhi Leonard isn’t that enamored with the thought of coming to L.A. with LeBron. Not because of LeBron himself the person or the basketball player, but because of the paparazzi-like atmosphere he will ultimately create in L.A. Kawhi ain’t built that way. Kawhi ain’t the type of player that wants to be a part of all of that. Kawhi just wants to grab his lunch pail, go to work, go home. That’s the kind of guy he is,” Stephen A. Smith said.

“Now, obviously this could all be a smokescreen, ladies and gentlemen. It could be the Clippers leaking stuff out there to the masses, hoping somebody grabs hold of it and just puts that out there without acknowledging the fact that the Clippers could be putting this out there, because in their perfect world, they want folks to believe they have a chance at Kawhi Leonard,” he added.

Will Kawhi end up playing with the Lakers.
