Lakers Player Wins 2018 Las Vegas Summer League MVP Award

Josh Hart just got the 2018 Las Vegas Summer League Most Valuable Player award. This is one of the highest honors a basketball player can get, and he must be proud of himself. The whole thing happened after Hard dominated the Summer League, and even led the Los Angeles Lakers to the Finals in the battle against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Josh Hart was actually the No. 30 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He did an amazing job in the rookie season, and managed to gather eight double-doubles and start 23 games. His success at the Summer League? It was out of this world.

Hart may be 23, but he has a huge potential in his hands. This is his second year in the Summer League. He was somehow suppose to play a couple of games, but there was a change in plans after Hart showed his awesome skills.

He was given a chance to do something, and averaged 24.2 points and 5.2 rebounds on 47 percent shooting from the field.

He did accomplish so much, but was still concerned for the missed free throws in the overtime.

“I missed two clutch free throws. I think that was the biggest ones (that stand out). I mean, hey, it was a tough, gut-it-out win. The kind of game it was, the atmosphere was great, it was tough. It just shows you the guys this team has. It was a battle,” Hart said.

Lonzo Ball had the award in his hands last year. He and Kuzma led the team to the main game. Kuzma waz given the Summer League Finals MVP after he scored 30 points in the championship game.

It seems like Hart, Alex Caruso, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and Xavier Rathan-Mayes will work to extend the team’s dominance in the championship game.
