Rob Ninkovich Gives Major Advice To Julian Edelman After Suspension Upheld

Rob Nonkovich knows everything about Julian Edelman’s trouble. The former New England Patriots linebacker faced serious suspension for the first four games of the 2016 season. The idea of using performance-enhancing drugs wasn’t the brightest thing he has ever done, right?

Ninkovich talked to Karen Guregian during a charity event, saying he reached out to Julian Edelman after he tested positive for… an unknown substance? The wide receiver was suspended, and even appealed the suspension. But, none of that worked, and he will sit out the first four games of the 2018 season.

“You have to learn from your mistakes. Whatever supplement you took, if you say it was a mistake, it just can’t happen twice. If you make an honest mistake, and you say ‘I’m sorry,’ they’ll forgive you. But if you do it again, you can’t come back from that. Guys with multiple offenses are automatically out,” Ninkovich said.

“I’d say he’s just gotta move on from it, man. Just work on getting as healthy as you can be. Go into training camp try and work on your craft as much as you can. But I think Jules, the way he’s made up mentally, the guy is such a competitor, he’ll handle it,” he added.

The suspension is already in place, and Edelman will come back on the field on Oct. 4. He may take part of the Patriots’ training camp, but he will have to stay away from the field once the season starts. Well, maybe things would’ve been a lot different if he took the case to federal court.

Things like this happen, and players have to bear the consequences of their actions. Julian Edelman knew what he was doing, and that’s the only thing that matters now. Let’s see what happens once the season begins.
