Report: The New England Patriots Sign Wide Receiver

The New England Patriots have done so many chances before the new season. The last one includes Devin Lucien. The Pats signed him, and it’s good to see him back in his Patriots uniform.

Official reports confirm that the Patriots released safety David Jones, and signed in Devin Lucien.

Lucien was first drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was part of the Pats during his rookie season, and was also a member of the team throughout training camp. He was eventually cut, and made several stops. The wide receiver played with the practice squads of the Colts, Chiefs, Texans and Bucs in an effort to play in his very first NFL game.

Many would agree that his final preseason exhibition with the Pats was his best. Lucien caught five of seven targets for 96 yards, and also had a touchdown against the Giants last summer.

The Patriots training camp will start within a few days, and Lucien will try to fit well in the competitive group of receivers.

Jones, on the other hand, was an undrafted free agent. He joined the team last year during its training camp and the preseason before he was cut. The safety didn’t quite see the field in the regular season, but gained excellent results. He was named a practice player of the week, and this happened six times last year. Pretty high, right? Jones played in half of the Patriots’ defensive snaps throughout the preseason.

Both players had their bright moments in the team, and we’ll see what happens next in their career. They’re about to give their best, and the Patriots management has to make the right decision regarding their future game.
Impossible is nothing, and every good player deserves a chance to enter the big game. That’s the only way to prove you’re good.
