Report: Patriots To Trade Their Top Player

The New Endland Patriots are making new roster moves.

Yes, you read that right. Malcolm Mitchell’s status is influx, as confirmed by several reports. The Patriots are building strong team, and they’ve made so many crucial moves until today. So, now the Patriots are actually shopping wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell, and the information was confirmed by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

“The #Patriots have been seeking a potential trade partner for WR Malcolm Mitchell, per sources. Flashed talent with 32 catches in 2016 but injuries have been frustrating. May be odd man out in New England, even with Julian Edelman’s suspension,” he tweeted.

Mitchell will probably find a way to bounce back after he missed the entire 2017 season. His knee injury was awful, and we don’t really know if Mitchell is in the right shape for the season. His health is still uncertain. Let’s not forget that he didn’t take part in OTAs or mandatory minicamp.

The Providence Journal’s Mark Daniels said that Mitchel had a surgery on his knee, adding that he may not be on the field for the beginning of the training camp. “Malcolm Mitchell isn’t expected to be on the field to start training camp. He had a procedure on his knee today, according to a source. His season looks to be in jeopardy,” he wrote on Twitter.

The Patriots are “expected to make a determination on Mitchell’s future in next 24-48 hours,” as confirmed by the Boston Herald’s Devin Duffy.

Mitchell had 32 receptions for 401 yards and four touchdowns in 2016.

Julian Edelman won’t join the team in the first four games of the season, and other players are looking to break through on the Pats roster. Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett, Jordan Matthews, Kenny Britt, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Braxton Berrios found their names on the depth chart.
