LeBron James, Kevin Durant Intervene In Fight Between Tristan Thompson And Draymond Green At LA Nightclub

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been locking horns with the Golden State Warriors since they joined the NBA league back in 1970. However, their rivalry stood out in the 2014–15 season, when they met in the first of four consecutive NBA Finals series. 2016 was the only championship the Cavaliers won during those years.

So, naturally, Cavs players started getting a bit frustrated with losing to one team all the time.

The past few weeks have been full of reports about a fight at an L.A. nightclub between NBA players, more specifically between a Cavalier and a Warrior.

Yesterday, it has been revealed that those players were Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and Cleveland Cavaliers center, Tristan Thompson, and they’ve been fighting about the infamous Game 1 incident.

The fight began at an ESPYs afterparty, but LeBron James and Kevin Durant were able to stop things from escalating.

Here’s what Big Lead’s Jason McIntyre stated about the story:

Reportedly, Thompson attacked Green out of nowhere. There wasn’t an argument before. No squaring up. No taking it outside.

“It was a sucker punch,” said one source who attended the party.“But, to be honest, it wasn’t really a punch. It was more like a shove.”

Another witness described it as a face mush, while some claimed it was “a legit punch, maybe even a quick one-two.”

During the wild Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Thompson got ejected for elbowing Shaun Livingston. While on his way to the tunnel, he had a verbal jab with Green before shoving him with a basketball in the face and suggesting that they should meet outside.

Thompson got fined $25,000 for the incident.
