Michael Jordan Steps Out To Support LeBron James After Donald Trump Attacked Him

President Donald Trump took a shot at Los Angeles Lakers’ newest star LeBron James in a tweet Friday night.

“Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!,” wrote Trump on Twitter.

Trump’s tweet was an obvious response to LeBron James’ recent interview, in which he said he felt Trump was “using sports to kinda divide us.” In the tweet, Trump also appeared to take sides in the LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan debate, saying, “I like Mike!”

Well, surprise, surprise, Mr. President!

13 hours after Trump insulted LeBron’s intelligence and touted Michael Jordan, MJ himself has chosen to respond with a statement.

No, His Airness didn’t lower himself on that level by trashing the President, but he did throw his support behind LeBron’s community activism in the wake of the strange anti-King sentiments coming from the White House.

In his usual fashion to involve himself as little as possible, “MJ” didn’t name Trump specifically, but still, it’s nice to see a statement from the other name connected to the saga.

Also, it’s incredibly funny that he calls LeBron “LJ”. Huh. MJ supports LJ. See the parallel between them now?

We’ll wait to see whether Jordan’s endorsement of LeBron’s efforts, including his latest achievement – the “I Promise” school which opened in earnest last week, will further rile up our Commander in Chief.
