Malcolm Butler Broke His Silence On Super Bowl Benching

Malcolm Butler may have the best of all careers, but people are still interested in one simple thing. The Super Bowl thing.

Fans still ask why he didn’t play in the big Super Bowl. Malcolm Butler is fed up with this, and let’s be honest, you’d be fed up, too.

The New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick’s infamous benching of Butler in Super Bowl LII put an end to the cornerback’s tenure with the New England Patriots. He will be playing with the Tennessee Titans this time.

Both parties are ready to move past it, and they made sure we become aware of it. Butler spoke about this during one of his recent interviews.

“Everywhere I go, people ask me why I didn’t play in the Super Bowl and stuff like that. Bar, restaurant, bathroom — it doesn’t even matter. They ask me why I didn’t play and say, ‘I’m sorry …’ I don’t want to hear that s—! It’s over with. I don’t want anybody to feel sorry for me – none of that. I’m gassed up and I’m ready to play,” Butler said.

Well, we can’t do anything but agree with him. We really feel for him and understand the way he feels.

We still don’t have much info on the circumstances of Butler’s benching. Maybe we’ll know more if someone decides to talk. There sure is a great story behind the whole benching thing, but we can’t say much until someone opens up.

The only thing that matters now is the fact that Butler is over it and has already turned the page. He will have many other opportunities, and the new franchise will sure provide him the support he needs.
