NFL Star Visits New England Patriots In Free Agency

The New England Patriots have become quite a target over the years, and everyone is amazed with their excellent organization.

Ian Rapoport confirms this with the latest story of Bashaud Breeland visiting the New England Patriots. Is he really visiting new potential destinations?

This sets the question of Bashaud Breeland’s possible contract. Will New England be able to turn the cornerback’s visit into an inked deal?

The 26-year-old cornerback is the best defensive free agent on the open market. We all know how the Patriots dream of collecting the brightest of all stars. It’s more than clear that they’d give him the opportunity to win a Super Bowl.

Pats aren’t the only team to express interest and host visits for Breeland. The cornerback is checking the contract situation on the market. The former Washington Redskins cornerback first signed with the Carolina Panthers in March, but his 3-year contract worth $24 million was nullified.

Breeland had an infected cut in his foot, but it heeled over the last few months. Now he’s in the right shape to visit teams and make his final decision. The Oakland Raiders hosted him, too. The team was Breeland’s first stop. The cornerback also visited the Kansas City Chiefs at the training camp in St. Joseph, but he didn’t sign a deal. The same thing happened with the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns. It seems like they didn’t meed his criteria.

The New York Jets are also interested in the cornerback, but there’s still no official date for his visit. What will happen with the Panthers? Ross Cockrell is now on injured reserve, and it happened too early into training camp.
The only think we know for sure is that Breeland is healthy enough to make official visits. Will Bill Belichick find the right words and convince him to stay with the Pats? Let’s wait and see what happens next.
