Tom Brady Announces His Plan For The Next Game With Eagles On Thursday

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is ready for the next season, and is ready to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday.

The Pats second preseason game is something we’re really looking forward to. Tom Brady was sidelined last week due to his back injury, and now he’s “doing really well.

“I’m doing well. I’m doing really well. You just always have little things you’re working through, that’s part of football season, but I feel really good,” Brady said.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says there’s “not much cause for concern” regarding Brady’s sore back. Remember that the quarterback sat out the team’s preseason openers last two years? If by any chance he plays Thursday, Brian Hoyer and Danny Etling will also get reps.

Head coach Bill Belichick said that the extended postseasons are one of the factors to affect the players’ preseason workloads. We all noticed that Tom Brady’s workload was pretty light, but he thinks that the practice was “the most important part of the day.”

“The thing about our team is we try and perform at a very, very high level. 8-8 isn’t the expectation for our team. Doing something 50/50 isn’t going to work out well for our team. I think we will all be frustrated by that level of performance. When you try and do things at an extremely high level, at a 14-2 level, a 15-1 level, it requires a different level of stamina and competition,” the quarterback said.

Brady is still developing trust with some of the new teammates, including wide receiver Eric Decker. We all saw him being frustrated Monday. He even punted the football into the stands.

“I don’t think the drill necessarily ended the way I wanted it to. I wouldn’t make too much of that. I wish we were kind of always in regular-season form, but we are still working through some things,” Brady said.

Let’s see how will he handle the next season.
