Cavs’ Tyronn Lue Opens Up About LeBron’s Departure From The Team

The Cleveland Cavaliers will play without LeBron James for the first time in four years. We will probably see a completely different game, and head coach Tyronn Lue is well aware of that.

LeBron James inked a four-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers on the first day of his free agency. The Cavaliers lost their star. What does Tyronn Lue think about this?

“Everybody he’s been around he’s made better and you can’t replace that. So we’ve got to understand that and continue to keep growing and working collectively and be the best we can be. It’s hard to replace LeBron James. Don’t say we’re going to replace LeBron. He’s an irreplaceable player. It’s not replacing LeBron James, the best player in the game for so long and he’s meant so much to the franchise and every franchise he’s played for,” Lue said.

LeBron averaged 27.5 point and 9.1 assists, and this attributed to 45-55 points per game for the Cleveland Cavaliers. This is half of the Cavs’ offensive production.

King James’ production can’t be matched by one player, and the Cavs won’ even try to duplicate it.

“Of course I would love to have LeBron James, but now that he’s gone it’s going to be a new challenge. I think me and my coaching staff, we’re up for it. It’s going to be different, a lot of young guys that we can try to teach and mold them how you want them to be,” Lue added.

Colin Sexton may be the most impactful change in the Cavs line up. Sexton strikes pretty much like LeBron in his young age. Yes, he may be smaller and his position is different, but he could give the Cavaliers a doze of hope. Will this even make a change for the team? Let’s wait and find out.
