Bill Belichick has a dog named Nike, and it’s actually the dog that manages to bring out his soft side. Belichick doesn’t really have too much free time, but he has a special place in his heart for Nike. The dog is probably the only living creature that doesn’t bug Belichick with questions of the depth chart or the team’s game plan.

Belichick and his girlfriend Linda Holliday had an interview with CNBC, and used the opportunity to introduce the world to Nike. The Alaskan Klee Kai is more than gorgeous, and even has some strong magic powers. Yes, only Nike can make Belichick smile and show his human side. We don’t get to see that on the field.

The head coach is probably going to focus on Nike’s fetching after the season ends. He loves dogs, and Nike is his best friend.

New England has probably found the winning formula as they have done so many changes and rotations. The team released a bunch of new names and veterans, and trimmed the roster down to 53. In other words, Belichick had enough time to see what works for the Pats game and which players could help the team win the Super Bowl. Some of the players he released were later signed to the team’s practice squad.
