Report: Anthony Davis Reportedly Joins LeBron James In Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have been filling headlines this summer. First, it was LeBron James’ four-year contract, and now it’s Anthony Davis.

LeBron James signed his huge deal with the team earlier this summer, and the Lakers remained quiet until now. They didn’t sign any major name, but some of the reports say that the team is probably adding Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard or Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson. That’s about to change now as the Lakers may be targeting New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis.

According to sources, Davis will join the Lakers as soon as his contract with the Pelicans is over. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said that Davis has already cut ties with his longtime agent Thad Foucher.

So, what made us believe that Davis is heading to Los Angeles? It’s probably because he forged an agreement with Rich Paul of Klutch Sports. Of course, the superstar can join the Lakers in 2020. If Paul becomes his agent, the Lakers are definitely becoming part of the discussion. Yes, Paul is LeBron’s agent.

Let’s not forget that the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t the only team to go after Davis. The superstar has been linked to the Boston Celtics, too. Let’s be honest, the Celtics have a better roster and they do win games. Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, and the Lakers only have LeBron James. But, the king of basketball is bringing new changes to the Lakers’ roster, and that may affect Davis’ plans.

LeBron will help the Lakers win more games this season, and that will definitely attract a bunch of other stars to the roster. Maybe Davis will eventually land in Los Angeles and give LeBron a hand when it comes to winning games. That’s a possible scenario, and we can’t wait for this to happen.
