Report: Two-time Champion Making An NBA Comeback

Former All-Star center is making a huge NBA comeback.

Shams Charania of The Athletic confirms that Andrew Bynum has hired representation in order to make an NBA comeback. The 30-year-old Bynum has scheduled team workouts before training camps at the end of the month, hoping to catch on with the team.

Former Lakers two-time champion and All-Star Andrew Bynum has hired representation in attempts of NBA comeback at age of 30 and scheduling team workouts before training camps,” Sharania tweeted.

Bynum last appeared in the NBA in 2013-14 season when he played 26 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers.

The Los Angeles Lakers selected Bynum in the lottery of the 2005 Draft. He was pretty successful in Los Angeles, and became an All-Star and two-time champion with the Lakers before being sent to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2012. Bynum suffered injuries, and couldn’t suit up for the Sixers. Then he moved on to the Cavaliers and the Pacers.

The All-Star averaged 11.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 1.2 assists per game in 418 appearances.

Bynum had solid skills in his best days, but the injury and his attitude issues took him out of the NBA. The question is next – which team will sign a 30-year-old All-Star who hasn’t played in several seasons?

This is sure a surprise for the world of basketball. Nobody thought that Bynum would decide to come back on the basketball court. But, hey, everybody deserves a chance, and so does he. Bynum will probably succeed in his attempt to make a comeback, but still can’t make any predictions regarding his next home.

Fans are thrilled about the idea of having Bynum on the basketball court after all these seasons. Nobody can forget his clean game and talent. Maybe he hasn’t given up on that, who knows…
