LeBron James Has an Interesting Obsession, and You’ll Never Guess It

LeBron James is raising eyebrows wherever he goes. In a good way, of course. The NBA star joined the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this summer, and things got a completely different direction. LeBron has been part of the NBA family for 15 years, and he’s about to give his best for the game. But, how much do you know about his biggest obsession?

LeBron accomplished much more than other NBA players, and maybe his obsession gave him a hand on his way to success. The king of basketball received four NBA Most Valuable Player Awards, three NBA Finals MVP Awards, two Olympic gold medals, three All-Star Game MVP awards, and an NBA scoring title. Should we add more? LeBron is actually the all-time NBA playoffs scoring leader, and made fourteen NBA All-Star Game appearances. He has twelve All-NBA First Team designations, and five All-Defensive First Team honors. Impressive!

So, what helped LeBron get this far?

King James is all about healthy food. You will never see him munching on pizza or hamburger. He likes his protein shakes and veggies. LeBron also sticks to ridiculously strict diet regimens. In 2014, he followed a no-sugar, no-carbs, no-dairy diet. “All I ate was meat, fish, veggies and fruit. That’s it. For 67 straight days,” he said.

The workout part is even harder. LeBron focuses on his core, and does extreme exercises. He’s a huge fan of balancing on a medicine ball, and even holds kettlebells. “Everything starts and ends with the core. No core no nothing!”

In one occasion, LeBron refused to have a piece of his personalized birthday cake. A Greek restaurant made him a special birthday cake, but LeBron said ‘no.’ However, he posted a pic of the cake, followed by the caption, “Thank you Nammos Mykonos for the dessert gesture. To dang on bad I can’t eat it!”

LeBron is a huge fan of wine. He likes to sip on his wine once in a while, and every night before going to bed. “I’ve heard it’s good for the heart. Listen, I’m playing the best basketball of my life, and I’m drinking some wine pretty much every day. Whatever it is, I’ll take it,” he said.

We remember how he said that he doesn’t want people to talk to him about wine like they know it if they don’t know anything about it. And he was serious about it!
