New England Patriots Players React To Josh Gordon Trade

The Josh Gordon trade is the hottest topic today, and although Patriots head coach Bill Belichick didn’t make any comments on the new player, Gordon’s new teammates sure shared their thoughts.

The New England Patriots completed a trade deal with the Cleveland Browns, and brought in the talented wideout to Foxboro. The Patriots sent a 2019 fifth round pick to Cleveland for the talented player. If Gordon isn’t productive for 10 games, the Patriots will receive a 2019 seventh round pick. However, Gordon is one of the most gifted wide outs in the league, and the Patriots won’t have any problem with him. In other words, this Josh Gordon trade was a good deal.

Josh Gordon is ready for a fresh start, and his new teammates are more than eager to see him play.

“I think it’s obviously known that he’s a freakish athlete,” wide out Phillip Dorsett said.

“I mean if he can help us win, it’s always great. We all know he’s a great talent. I’m looking forward to meeting him, becoming teammates with him. I’m pretty sure I’ll meet him soon, but I’m excited to have him here and help us win games,” safety Duron Harmon added.

Gordon posted 180 career catches for 3,106 yards and 16 touchdowns in 41 games. In 2013, Gordon went off for seven catches for 151 yards, and an 80-yard touchdown off of Aqib Talib.

“He had a lot of yards. I do remember that. He had a breakaway slant against Talib that showed the speed and the athleticism. He had a lot of good catches with Talib all on him. I mean, we all know what type of player he is. Hopefully, he comes here and does a lot of those plays for us,” Harmon said of the game.

Unlike the team players, the head coach remained silent. He didn’t say much about the trade, but noted that the Patriots would never do anything to affect the game in a bad way.
