Tom Brady Comments On Josh Gordon Trade

The Gordon trade is the hottest topics these days, and the New England Patriots are super excited to welcome the wide receiver. Josh Gordon is officially a member of the Patriots family, and the team is buzzing with joy. Well, they needed a wide receiver of Gordon’s talents, and maybe he is the last piece of the puzzle.

Randy Moss was the last wide receiver wonder the Patriots received, and it happened in 2010. The team was relying on small targets and tried to dominate the middle of the field. The return of Julian Edelman will bring things to an upper level, but the Gordon trade will sure stretch defenses even further. The team is ready for another win.

Josh Gordon will combine the best bits of the 2007 offense that brought the Patriots to a 16-0 season and two Super Bowl wins. However, the wide receiver will have to prove himself to the team before he’s titled a savior. Quarterback Tom Brady echoed this sentiment on Westwood 1 Sports, saying, “We’ll see how it goes this week. Hopefully he can work hard, put the team first and end up helping us in any role he can find for himself on the team.” Brady doesn’t freak out over the trade, and he will wait until the moment Gordon hits the field.

Brady is careful with his comments, because the team has had several talented wide receivers that flamed out in the past. Chad Johnson was a non-factor when he came to New England in 2011. Eric Decker and Reggie Wayne announced their retirement before their season with the Pats began. Brandin Cooks’ numbers declined in New England, and was shipped to the Los Angeles Lakers after one season.

Gordon will sure need time to adjust his talent to the Patriots game, and we don’t believe that he will have any problem.
