Bill Belichick Broke His Silence About Week 3 Loss To The Lions

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick isn’t happy with the fact that his guys lost another game. The Week 3 loss was even worse than the previous battle. The Patriots had a sloppy game despite all the hard work they did.

The team has fallen into a hole, and it seems like there’s no way out at the moment. Two failures are just too much to handle for a team like the Patriots. Facing their Week 3 loss must be hard, especially when you realize that this is one of the worst starts in Belichick’s career.

The Detroit Lions outclassed and outperformed the Pats. It’s a fact.

“Alright, well obviously the Lions did everything a lot better than we did tonight, so give them credit. They played well, coached well. We just didn’t do anything well enough to give ourselves a chance to win. Similar situation last week—get behind early, play from behind. (We) just weren’t able to make it up. So, just going to have to work our way out of it, obviously we have a lot of work to do. So, there’s no shortcut, no easy way, just have to do a better job,” Belichick said at the press conference.

He didn’t make more comments on the loss, but noted that the better team won.

“I think they clearly out played us and out coached us today. I’ve said this multiple times, I’ll say it again, we need to do everything better. Play better, coach better, execute better, in all three phases of the game. Whatever answer you want to bring up, the answer is all the same. None of it has been good enough,” the head coach said.

Belichick is right. The Patriots have to try harder next time. They can’t just lose games. They’re the Super Bowl team after all.
