LeBron James Shares His Welcome Message To Anthony Davis

LeBron James made another LA move, and it involves Anthony Davis.

The NBA star congratulated Anthony Davis after he switched agents and decided to work with Rich Paul and the Klutch Sports Group. If by any chance you didn’t know it, Paul represents LeBron James and 20 other NBA players.
“Welcome to the family,” King James tweeted.

The 25-year-old All-Star has two years remaining on his $52 million deal with the Pelicans. Davis had his best NBA season last year, and averaged 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. The NBA star is a top-five player in the NBA when he is in great condition and healthy.

Davis has the chance of signing a five-year contract extension worth $235 million next summer. Of course, that would happen if he decides to stay with the Pelicans. If he decides to part ways with the team, Davis will hit free-agency in 2020. This will definitely put him atop all teams’ wish list.

“My focus is to win, to come in every day and do all I can to help this organization. While establishing myself as the best player on the floor every night,” Davis said.

Paul was also thrilled by the deal he signed with his new client. “It’s a pleasure and honor to represent a player like AD. He’s a transcendent talent and continues to establish himself as one of the dominant players in the game,” the agent said.

Many would say that Davis is probably looking at the option to switch teams. However, Paul says the opposite. Switching agents has nothing with switching teams. He even added that the All-Star will soon meet the Pelicans brass.

The Lakers will get the opportunity to sign another star next summer. Are they leaning toward Raptors star Kawhi Leonard? Maybe they’re targeting Davis, hoping that he becomes free agent.
