Tom Brady Texted Jimmy Garoppolo After Terrible News About His Torn ACL

The San Francisco 49ers were hit with a terrible blow on Monday. The team’s quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo tore his ACL. Garoppolo’s torn ACL will give the team a terrible headache this season as he will miss the rest of the season. This is the worst scenario a NFL team can imagine.

The 49ers really hoped that the former New England Patriots backup would bring them luck and success. Garoppolo has a great game, but his torn ACL shut him down.

The New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady went through the same story in 2008. He was hit to his knee in Week 1, and missed the entire season. Brady sympathized with Garoppolo, and sent him a message of encouragement.

“Yeah, I did text him. I just told him he will be back better than ever. It is a tough injury. I have been through it. I have seen obviously so many teammates over the years go through that injury. It is very prevalent in football for one reason or another and it is a tough injury. It is a tough rehab. But he’s a tough guy. They are pretty good at that surgery these days, so he will be back soon and he will be back ready for next year I’m sure,” Brady told Westwood One’s Jim Gray on Monday night.

Brady and Garoppolo are still friends. Garoppolo even said that he had always had a good relationship with the Patriots quarterback and the Indianapolis Colts backup Jacoby Brissett.

“Initially when I was younger, kind of like an older brother type of relationship, but as I got older and matured through the NFL, we became closer and we became good friends. You know, we still text here and there. Jacoby was a good friend of mine, too,” Garoppolo said.

We wish Jimmy Garoppolo the best, and we do hope that he will recover quickly.
