Rob Gronkowski Reveals Major Details Behind Brother’s Candid Radio Interview

If you thought that Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski told his brother Chris to go on WEEI’s Kirk and Callahan to talk about his frustration, you’re wrong. Gronk has nothing to do with Chris’ radio interview.

I didn’t talk to him at all. To tell you the truth, I feel like he probably was going on for a promotion thing for his ice shaker. No lie. Because he’s been on ABC’s ‘Shark Tank’ with it, he’s teamed up with A-Rod (Alex Rodrigues) – it’s actually a pretty good deal,” Gronk said of his brother’s radio interview.

Yes, Chris didn’t say anything about his fancy water bottle line, and went on talking about Gronk and his frustrations, hinting that the tight end needs more freedom.

“He wanted to get paid what he deserved. He wanted to be paid (like) one of the top tight ends for once. It’s been a struggle for him to make that money. They want to put him on an incentive-based (contract), and he proved last year that, ‘I’ll take incentive-based,’ and he got the job done. For him, he just wanted to sit down and get paid what he deserved and made sense for him,” Chris said in his interview.

“He really just wanted to be able to have more freedom, is kind of what it came down to. And some respect to do what he needs to get done… He just wanted some more freedom, and he wanted to get what he deserved. He was being paid like he was just a mediocre tight end, and just wanted to get some respect on that end, as well,” the Gronk brother added.

Well, Gronkowski doesn’t agree on this one, and he still thinks that his brother was selling his ice shaker. Was he? Let’s wait and see if Chris appears in another interview.
