Game Predictions: NFL Experts Gave Their Picks For Patriots At Lions

NFL experts “strike” again. This time the greatest minds in the world of football analysis have shared their comments on the upcoming game between the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions.

Most of the NFL experts believe that the Patriots will dominate, and they all have specific reasons to think that way.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss was disappointed by the Patriots’ running game in Week 2, but he predicts a turnaround on Sunday. “The Patriots’ running game was a disappointment in Week 2, unable to deliver consistent results even when in what should have been advantageous matchups (e.g., big personnel vs. nickel), but there’s a solid chance for a turnaround against the Lions. In a grind-it-out type of game that could be a coming-out-party for rookie RB Sony Michel, look for the running game to rebound,”Reiss said.

Pete Prisco of the CBS Sports also went for the Pats (Patriots 33, Lions 23). He believes that New England is playing consecutive road games after the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, noting that the Detroit Lions have poor defense. According to him, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will handle the pressure alone.

Elliot Harrison of NFL.com says that the Patriots will win Sunday’s matchup, adding that Brady will rebound in a big way. Harrison also said that the Lions’ front four doesn’t even look like Jacksonville. He also noted that Josh Gordon won’t have a huge role in the game.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk said Matt Patricia will turn the Detroit Lions around if they provide enough time to do so. His colleague, Michael David Smith, says that Matt Patricia won’t even manage to shut Brady down despite all the times he practiced against him.

This will definitely be an important match, and according to experts, the Patriots will win.
