Gisele Bündchen Opens Up About Her Blended Family Life With Tom Brady

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady are a match made in heaven. They first met in 2006, and the supermodel was introduced to Brady by a mutual friend. They started dating soon after that. The couple didn’t have a smooth start. Brady’s ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan said she was pregnant. Gisele was disappointed, but their love was stronger than the disappointment.

So, Gisele and Brady are now married and have two children together. Brady has another son with Bridget. The supermodel opened about her relationship with the quarterback and their family life.

“It wasn’t the ideal situation for anyone — there’s no manual to prepare you for that. But I’m so grateful for [Bridget]. I know this was hard, but I couldn’t imagine my life without [Jack]. I call him my bonus child,” Bündchen said.

“He opened my heart in ways I didn’t even know my heart could expand. I fell in love with him,” said the supermodel.

This love made her “want to start a family” with Brady. They got married in 2009, and decided to have kids. Well, they were trying to delay that, but the couple “wanted Jack to have a brother or sister close in age.”

In her memoir, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, Gisele writes about her motherhood. “Things can be looking perfect on the outside, but you have no idea what’s really going on. I felt like maybe it was time to share some of my vulnerabilities, and it made me realize, everything I’ve lived through, I would never change, because I think I am who I am because of those experiences.”

“When I became a mom, I kind of lost myself. It was like a part of me died. I’d been this very independent person. It was all about me. But now I had this little being, and I suddenly felt l couldn’t do other things and that was very hard for me. All I ever wanted was to be a mom, but when you’re actually experiencing that, it’s a shock,” Gisele said.
