LeBron James Will Reportedly Wear Cavaliers-Colored Shoes In His Lakers Debut

LeBron James is starting his season with the Los Angeles Lakers in two weeks, and he has already had his first practice with the team. King James may not play in the preseason games, but he will definitely take part in the opening night. But, the Lakers fans were disappointed by LeBron’s latest decision.

In his first game with the Lakers, King James will wear shoes with the colors of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Yes, and the Lakers fans got pretty angry about it. LeBron decided to wear the “King” colorway of the new Nike LeBron 16 sneaker, as confirmed by Bleacher Report. The shoes are actually maroon. Does this look too much like the Cleveland Cavaliers?

LeBron spent 10 seasons with the Cavaliers, and many thought that he misses his old team. Well, LeBron was part of the Cleveland family for quite some time, and it’s more than clear that he still has feelings for his old team. But, this has nothing to do with LeBron’s new shoes. He just likes the shoes and their design. These are the “King” shoes for God’s sake! The shoes also feature a leopard print on their heel, and a sillhuete of LeBron on a throne on the insole.

This may be a tip of the cap to the former team and his hometown Akron. Many Lakers fans, especially those who still have feelings for Kobe Bryant, believe that LeBron made a bad decision. They even suggested that he should sport Lakers colors. Purple and gold are much better than maroon, right?

Others just don’t like to be reminded that LeBron is part of the Los Angeles Lakers. Well, things have to go on, and LeBron’s fans have to realize that his always doing things that work best for his career. It’s time for big changes, right?
