Patriots Media And Fans React To Loss To Lions

NFL fans have come to realize that the New England Patriots are not the Super Bowl team of the past few seasons. They lost yet another game in the season, and this time it was the Detroit Lions that beat them up. Even the Patriots media admits this.

The team struggled with departures and injuries in the offseason, and each of the moves took their tool early on. The Patriots struggle on the field, and their game is sloppy. If you ask quarterback Tom Brady, he’s say that his teammates had problem executing. They made the same mistake twice. We can understand the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Detroit Lions? Matt Patricia must be proud of his guys. That’s what some of the Patriots media said.

Matthew Stafford completed 75 percent of the passes. The Lions averaged 4.8 yards per each carry, and didn’t even have to punt until the fourth quarter. They had no trouble moving the ball against the Patriots. Is there any possibility that the Patriots miss their former defensive coordinator?

The Patriots media has had enough of it. It’s time for the team to step up, and do their job.

Brady even took back his helmet. Yes, the NFL banned the helmet he was wearing for most of his professional career. The quarterback spent the previous games wearing a new model. But, the loss made him change his mind.

Josh Gordon didn’t play against the Lions, but he didn’t waste the night either. The Patriots will probably let him suit up next week. He was working with the team’s wide receiver’s coach in order to get ready. Did he miss the game because of his hamstring injury?

The Patriots brought three wide receivers into the game, which made special teams more important in the struggle for yardage.

Jason McCourty was put on the roster bubble at the end of the preseason. He got his chance as Eric Rowe benched last week. The team gave him the start, and the results weren’t good at all.

What will happen next week?
