Report: Patriots Give Positive Sign From Patrick Chung And Trey Flowers

The New England Patriots have lost and released so many players, and this time they were left without Rex Burkhead and Ja’Whaun Bentley. The good news is that two players came back for Wednesday’s practice.

Mike Reiss from ESPN and other reporters at Gillette Stadium confirmed that Trey Flowers and Patrick Chung attended the Patriots practice for the upcoming Week 4 contest against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Chung and Flowers missed the practice last week, and also didn’t play in the game against the Detroit Lions. Both of them suffered a concussion in the Week 2 contest against the Jags.

Flowers suffered a concussion at the very beginning of the matchup against the Jags in Jacksonville. Flowers crashed on quarterback Blake Bortles and was slammed in the head by Patriot Keionta Davis. He was knocked on the ground, and remained there for quite some town. Even head coach Bill Belichick had to come check on him. Flowers was then helped to the sideline and the Patriots locker room.

We still don’t have much info on Chug’s concussion. He walked to the locker room with a team trainer at halftime. Never returned. The league and NFLPA are looking i to why the concussion spotter didn’t identify Chung’s condition and take him off the field earlier in the game.

The Patriots need playmakers on both the defensive line and the secondary. Seeing Flowers and Chung return to the field is a good sign, as the team will need all the help they can get for the upcoming contest.

John Simon and Kenjon Barner were also at the practice, and they replaced Burkhead and Bentley on the roster. Simon will be wearing No. 55 and Barner wore No. 38.

The Patriots seem to be ready for the big game, but they’re challenging an undefeated team, so it will be really hard to predict the final score.
