Tom Brady Showed Trump What He Really Stands For With A Single Click

The National Football League was severely shaken last year with all the controversy brought by national anthem protests. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was the first to take a knee during the Star-Spangled Banner, and many players followed his example. Many Americans condemned him for disrespecting the anthem, including the sitting President of the United States Donald Trump.

Kaepernick is filling headlines again. He may be out of the league, but he’s definitely active. Kaepernick is now the 30th face of Nike’s Just Do It campaign. We can only imagine the President’s reaction to this one. President Trump disapproved Kaepernick’s action, and even asked the NFL to punish everyone who will protest the anthem.

However, numerous athletes supported Kaepernick, and Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady is one of them. This came as a surprise, especially if you take into consideration the fact that Brady and the Patriots in general stood by the President.

The quarterback was one of the first athletes to give his opinion on the campaign. He went on Instagram, and liked a picture from the add, initially posted by CQ magazine’s profile.

Brady didn’t make an official statement on the Kaepernick, but this move was enough for most people to realize that he stands by Kaepernick now. We all remember how Brady expressed his admiration for Kaepernick.

“You know, I don’t know. I have no idea if he’s being blackballed. I competed against him and I thought he was a damn good quarterback. And he’s played at a high level, brought his team to Super Bowls. You know… that’s how I feel about him,” Brady said back then.

This may be a wrong move. Some people disapprove Nike’s campaign, and even burned their sneakers. Will fans condemn Brady for joining the other side? We don’t know. Maybe things will be just fine.
