Watch: Josh Gordon Takes Part In First Patriots Practice

Josh Gordon is now a Patriot, and he even had his first practice with the team. Being part of the Patriots practice is is like entering a whole new world, and Gordon got the chance to be part of it.

The New England Patriots made a trade deal with the Cleveland Browns, and got Josh Gordon in an exchange for a 2019 fifth-round pick. So, the wide out is already here, and he’s getting ready for his debut with the team. Gordon will be playing with his new teammates in Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions. That’s why he was present at today’s Patriots practice.

Joe Gia of CBS Boston has the first video of Gordon wearing a Patriots uniform. Although it’s a video of Gordon practicing with the new teammates, it’s definitely thrilling to watch.

Gordon will take part in his first game for New England in the first matchup that a former Patriots staffer is coaching against the team. Matt Patricis doesn’t have any pleasant memories of the last game against Gordon. The wide out was a Browns star at the time, and caught seven passes for 151 yards and a score. According to Patricia, he is “obviously a tremendous player.” During his conference call with the New England’s media Patricia talked about Gordon and his talent.

“Again, I think unfortunately the last time I saw him, he caught a slant that he’s probably still running, just a really huge play for them when he was in Cleveland. So, dangerous guy, vertical threat, big receiver, great body control, great hands, really will be a big challenge for us. For us not to have anything on tape as far as what they’re going to do with him, in that aspect also is a little bit difficult.”

Gordon will have a limited role on Sunday, and he may only see the field on deep routes.
