Watch: Ref, Patriots Miss Clear Offsides Call On Jaguars

The New England Patriots didn’t have much success in Week 2. The team is struggling to score, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are pretty dominant. They even jump offsides call.

The Pats had eight minutes left in the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and were already down 24-13. The team lined up to a punt from their 18-yard line. The Jaguars thought they would pull out a trickery as they were all lined in a base defense rather than punt coverage and managed to catch one Jags player jump offsides. This would’ve given the Patriots a nice kick on the drive, but the official ‘forgot’ to pull out the flag, and the Patriots weren’t able to touch him or snap the ball to trigger a penalty. Did they miss the offsides call?

The worst part came when the Patriots punted it away, and the Jaguars managed to pull out their most explosive play today. On the first offensive play of the drive, Blake Bortles was able to hit a Dede Westbrook on a short pass, and the wide out managed to take 61-yards for an awesome touchdown.

New England scored on their next possession, but they didn’t call on the ref and the special teams weren’t even aware of the whole situation. Yes, it seems like these two things were the last drop that flooded the game. It was definitely bad for the Patriots, and we do believe they never hoped for such scenario.

Tom Brady knew that this would be a tough challenge, but was never afraid of the confrontation. He knew that his guys would have to try really, really hard, but still, they failed to do so. The Patriots are losing this game, and head coach Bill Belichick will definitely remove a few names of the roster. We can already make guesses.
