Report: Julian Edelman’s Suspension Is Officially Over

Julian Edelman was hit with a four-game suspension, and it’s finally over. Edelman’s suspension was one of the hottest topics this summer, and the Patriots had hard time coping with the new game.

Edelman was suspended for the first four games of the regular season. The NFL suspended him for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. The receiver was also dealing with a torn ACL last year, and the Patriots didn’t see him suit up for a game. Edelman’s suspension was brought to an end, and he will finally join the Patriots.

Edelman is expected to play on Thursday in the game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Edelman’s return will also bring an end to the problems Patriots face with the receiver unit. Danny Amendola left the New England Ptriots this summer, and became free agent. The Patriots also traded Brandin Cooks to the Los Angeles Rams for Isaiah Wynn who won’t play this season. They thought that these moves won’t harm the team, and Edelman is now coming back.

The team is in a good shape at the wide receiver spot.

This unit suffered too many injuries. Jordan Mattheys had an injury, and was later released. He recovered quickly and caught a pass for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Malcolm Mitchell suffered from an injury, too. Kenny Britt also had a few cuts when he was released. In other words, the Patriots went from being packed at receiver to having almost no player at that position.

The players at this position struggled really hard. Chris Hogan couldn’t figure out how to be a lead receiver. He’s more comfortable with Edelman and Cooks drawing all the attention away from him. Phillip Dorsett got better, but started from a low place that isn’t too promising. Jacob Hollister isn’t healthy enough, and Rex Burkhead was put on injured reserve.
