NBA Announces Suspensions After Lakers-Rockets Brawl

The brawl between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets that took place during the closing minutes of the fourth quarter of Saturday night’s showdown at the Staples Center has been the talk of the basketball world on Sunday as a number of current and former players have weighed in with their opinion on what actually happened and who is to blame.

Immediately following the final buzzer in Los Angeles, the ESPN NBA studio team, who just so happened to be on location in front of the Staples Center for the matchup, discussed what transpired on the floor and why the outcome was not a surprise to any of the former players who were on the panel.

As you can see from the video clip above, courtesy of ESPN’s official YouTube page, Jalen Rose, Paul Pierce and Chauncey Billups had plenty to say about why the fact that it was Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul who were the two to throw punches after Brandon Ingram shoved James Harden.

Taking the fact that each and every member of the ESPN panel stated that Rondo and Paul’s demeanors were so similar that the competitive fire in both was strong enough where they were going after one another all night long before things ultimately came to a head when punches were thrown and security needed to get involved.

With the NBA looking to make a final decision on whatever suspensions may be handed down from this incident prior to the Rockets’ matchup with the Clippers on Sunday night, fans should know the fate of these two veterans very soon.
