Kobe Bryant Reveals The First Words He Told LeBron James After Lakers Move

LeBron James is the best thing that has happened to the Los Angeles Lakers since Kobe Bryant. The NBA legend retired few years ago, and things went downhill for the Lakers. However, LeBron is here to make things better.

The Los Angeles Lakers have not made the playoffs since 2013. NBA fans thought that the Lakers would never become contenders again. The arrival of LeBron changed that, and now everyone is convinced that he will bring the team to the NBA Finals. Fans are still discussing the alleged rivalry between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, but let’s just say that they both have their “thing.”

Bryant and King James never met in the playoffs, but sure enjoyed challenging each other on the court.

Kobe Bryant fans were really frustrated to see LeBron signing a four-year contract with the Lakers. This does not apply to Bryant, as he was super excited to watch LeBron play wearing the Lakers uniform.

“He’s part of the Laker family so when he first came on board I said, ‘listen is there anything you need? You’re part of this family now so if there’s anything you need, let me know.’ The message is always to go out there and dominate. There’s no let up,” Bryant said.

“Once the game starts and once the practice begins, you’re in that mode. Everything is a Game 7. When you approach every practice, every game with that kind of mentality then it bleeds into the rest of the guys and then the rest of the unit has that same approach and intensity but it starts at the top,” he added.

Bryant also spoke about LeBron’s game over the years.

“I love posting up, I love the physicality of it. He would play on the perimeter more which is interesting because he’s 6”10 and 280 but liked being on the perimeter. I liked being down low and I liked banging. When I get down to the post and would post him up, I would love to put my shoulder into his chest; I’d love to spin off him and it kind of worked that way. As he kind of grew older, you started to see him post up more and bang more but when he first came into the league he just liked dancing around on the perimeter.”
