Watch: Rob Gronkowski Has Uplifting Message For Bullied Kid

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski likes to do his Gronk things on a regular basis, but this time he delivered a message of encouragement for a bullied kid.

Rob Gronkowski stepped in when the kid was bullied, and yes, this is the attitude we would like to see every time someone bullies an innocent kid for whatever reason they have.

This worried dad took to Twitter to call out toxic masculinity on Monday after his son came home from school crying. Sam, 5, is a huge fan of trucks, sports, purses and nail polish. These may not go in the same sentence for you, but this kid had already made up his mind.

“This is my son, Sam. He’s 5. And today he learned how shitty and harmful #ToxicMasculinity is. My rage meter is spiking right now so excuse me if this is a little raw but there are some things I want to say about BS #gender norms (a thread),” the father tweeted.

Sam’s friends at school made fun of him for his bright red nail polish. His father had no other choice but console his son with the perfect remark. David told his son that men like Thor and Captain Jack Sparrow – Chris Hemsworth and Johnny Depp like to wear nail polish.

The kid asked his favorite football player, Gronk, if he wears polish. Sam’s father was not sure about the answer, and says ‘yes.’ He also tacked on an apology for the Patriots tight end in case he was wrong.

Gronk delivered his message to Sam via the Patriots’ Twitter account.

“I heard some kids at school were giving you a hard time for some nail polish. I just wanted to say stay strong and do what makes you the happiest and keep being yourself,” Gronk said in his message.
