Bill Belichick And Josh Gordon Address Disciplinary Reports

Media members were really interested in the alleged disciplinary reports including Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and wide receiver Josh Gordon.

According to these disciplinary reports, Josh Gordon was about to be disciplined as his teammates were getting ready for the Monday Night Football game in Buffalo. But, it did not happen.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that the team was going to discipline Gordon and keep him off the field for the opening quarter due to tardiness. Jeff Howe of The Athletic added fuel to the fire, saying that the wide receiver was late on Sunday before the Patriots headed to Buffalo. Kevin Duffy of the Boston Herald reported that Gordon was late to a meeting last week.

Well, none of this was true in terms of discipline as Gordon had the start int he game, and played a great portion of the contest. He helped the team get that 25-6 win. The receiver was targeted six times and hauled in four passes from quarterback Tom Brady for 42 yards. So, yes, there were no visible signs suggesting that the was punished by the team.

When asked about the discipline, Gordon declined to speak and threw the ball to head coach Belichick. “That’s gonna be a question you’ll have to ask coach,” the receiver said.

“You have to talk to whoever wrote that. I have no idea,” Belichick said.

Who wrote this? Apparently, it was a made-up story, and everything is fine with Gordon and his game. Belichick said he has no clue, so let’s just hope that invented stories will not emerge in near future.

Josh Gordon has a great role in the team, and he should not allow to be disciplined. He needs the minutes on the field, and the team needs his hand. Simple as that.
