Tom Brady Addresses Upcoming Aaron Rodgers Showdown

NFL fans still discuss the rivalry between New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers. The Patriots will challenge the Packers on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium.

Experts debate over the NFL’s GOAT, and this matchup will give them an opportunity to see if Tom Brady is better than Aaron Rodgers. The game is so big, that even Michael Jordan made a hype video.

“I think it’s a hypothetical question that is truly impossible to answer. It’s great to debate and those types of things. … It’s hard to compare positions and eras. It’s impossible to answer. I think Aaron is one of the best ever to play the game. He’s got every skill you need to be a great quarterback. I think there is a lot of other guys who are playing today that are phenomenal — Ben Roethlisberger, I think he is an incredible player. What Drew Brees has done, and I am just talking players who are playing. I mean Peyton Manning, I don’t think there was anyone who commanded the position better than Peyton what he did from Indy to Denver. That was spectacular. I got a chance to play against Brett Favre and I saw Steve Young last night and Joe Montana is a guy I have always looked up to,” Brady said after his team defeated the Buffalo Bills.

“Ultimately, there is a lot of ways to get the job done to move the ball down the field and score points. That is what our job is, to go out there and score. Everyone has a little different style and depending on the offense you’re in, the coaches you have and the skill positions you play with, you develop a system around the quarterback in a way.”
When it comes to his personal relationship with Aaron Rodgers, Brady made a comment involving the place they come from.

“I know Aaron pretty well. We have been friends for a long time. I have always known about him. He went to Cal and grew up in the Bay Area. Then with the Packers behind Brett Favre. He came in when Brett got hurt up there one time. What he’s done as a quarterback, I think it is is inspiring, even for me. I watch his game and it makes me want to get out there and practice and improve because I think he’s so phenomenal with the way he manages himself in the pocket and his ability to throw the football is unlikely anyone probably in the history of the league. It’s pretty awesome to watch.
