LeBron James Just Won Major Award

LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players in the NBA history. Nothing beats the fact that he is about to become even greater. This time the king of basketball won another major award.

The Los Angeles Lakers All-Star forward got the NBA Cares Community Assist Award on Thursday. Well, he was the right person to get this award. King James founded the I Promise public school in his hometown Akron, Ohio.

The great award “recognizes an NBA player for his exceptional work and impact from the end of the regular season to the start of the next season.” The NBA and Kaiser Permanente will donate $10,000 to the LeBron James Family Foundation.

LeBron opened the public school in July, targeting at-risk youth. It was about time that someone does anything good for these kids.

“Growing up in the inner city, the numbers are always stacked up against you. So you didn’t really know what was possible. I think what happened for me was that I got some mentors and little league coaches and some teachers that I kind of started to believe in. And they started to make my dreams feel like they could actually become a reality,” LeBron said of the I Promise School.

“… So I feel like this is the point where we can kind of get into the minds of the kids and let them know that we’re here for them. And I think that’s what kids ultimately want, they just want someone to feel like someone cares about them. And that’s what we’re trying to do here,” he added.

LeBron entered his 16th season in the NBA. He has a major impact on the Lakers game at the moment. Los Angeles is ready for LeBron James and his business power, too. Keep up the good job, King James.
