Patriots Release Thursday Injury Report Ahead Of Chiefs Game

The New England Patriots were plagued by injuries this season, and it seems like they will add another player to their injury report.

Chris Hogan was limited in practice on Wednesday due to a thigh injury. He did not show up on Thursday, and his status is still in doubt. Sunday’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs is one of the most important games in the season, and Patriots cannot afford another player to be added to the injury report.

Julian Edelman returned in Foxboro last week, and had enough time to recover after Thursday’s game. The Patriots are still far from their full potential, and Hogan is not the only offensive player to be added to the injury report.

Josh Gordon was limited in practice due to his hamstring injury. He played in the last two games and had a nice touchdown catch last week in the game against the Indianapolis Colts. Gordon will play on Sunday, but we cannot really understand the fact that he missed practice time.

The same applies to Sony Michel. He had a nice game, but he is also limited in practice due to his knee injury. This injury kept him outside the preseason and the opening game.

Rob Gronkowski is another player of the offense who was also listed as limited player. The Patriots are left with few healthy offensive players. That’s actually bad news for the team.

The defense has its own battles, too. Malcolm Brown, Danny Shelton, Geneo Grissom, John Simon, and Eric Rowe were listed as limited.

In other words, the Patriots have lost most of their defensive line depth. They are facing one of the greatest offenses in the NFL. Jonathan Jones will probably take Rowe’s position, and he will have to play with Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins.
