Report: NBA Makes Decision On Suspending Curry, Cousins

The game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors was built on a tension, and fans of both teams came up with a different version of problem. Yes, it is all about the possible suspension of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Lakers forward Michael Beasley and Draymond Green got physical in the third quarter of the game. The Laker was ejected after picking up his second technical foul. Quinn Cook and Lance Stephenson were involved in an altercation. Stephenson was fouled on the drive at the rim, and was ejected after taking a swing at Cook upon being fouled. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports confirmed that Stephen Curry and DeMarcus Cousins will not be hit with a suspension for leaving the bench during the play after the NBA said that it was not an “altercation.”

“Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will avoid a suspension for stepping onto the court during what some viewed as an altercation in Friday’s preseason finale against the Los Angeles Lakers, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins, who stepped on the floor with Curry, will also not be penalized,” Haynes explained.

He noted that players that get on the court during altercation are subjected to a one-game suspension. If Curry was suspended, he would have missed the Warriors home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Cousins would have to sit out a game right returning from a torn Achilles. The Warriors coaching stuff got Curry and Cousins back to their spot before officials even noticed their mistake.

The Warriors will be healthy and ready for the regular season. cousins will miss the first two months of the season. He tore his Achilles in January as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Golden State Warriors are getting their championships rings at Oracle Arena.
