Todd Gurley Pays Major Compliment To James White

Todd Gurley may be the top running back in the National Football League, but he’s amazed with James White and his season.

The New England Patriots challenged the Indianapolis Colts in the Thursday Night Football contest, and the Rams running back Todd Gurley tweeted his compliments for James White. According to Gurley, White is a touchdown machine. Yes, we know a lot of people who will agree on that one. In the game, White hauled in 10 of his 14 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown.

White scored a touchdown in four games of the regular season, and has five total on the entire year. That’s why Gurley took to social media to express his praise.

Statistics shows that White has been putting up some really great overall numbers. The captain totaled 110 yards on 4.8 yards per carry and a score. These numbers apply for White as a rusher. When it comes to his role as a pass catcher, White caught 32 of his 44 targets for 270 yards and four scores.

White may have a great production, but he is not into bragging or stuff. “I’m not really big on the whole recognition thing. I’ve just gotta go out there and do what I have to do, just do my job each and every week. It is what it is,” he said.

Instead of grabbing the points for his success, White credits the entire offense line. “We have a lot of talented guys, a good offensive line and a great quarterback. We have a lot of pieces that can help us get wins as long as everybody goes out and does their job on each and every play,” White added.

Head coach Bill Belichick is proud of his backs, and he admits that they did a really great job on the field.
