Tom Brady Reacts To 500th Impressive Career Touchdown Pass

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has reached another milestone in his professional career. The Patriots beat up the Indianapolis Colts, 38-24, and the star quarterback completed his 34-yard pass to Josh Gordon for a touchdown. This pushed the Patriots’ lead upwards, and Brady had his 500th touchdown pass.

Brady is the third player in the NFL history to reach this scoring mark, right next to Peyton Manning and Bret Favre. Let’s not forget that Brady was the 199th overall pick in 200 and now he tossed his 500th touchdown passes. Wow.
If you ask Brady, he will say that this is more like a team-based milestone. According to him, it takes more than just a quarterback to throw all those touchdowns.

“Well I think things like that, milestones and so forth, there are so many people that contribute so I just think of all the people that have really worked hard. You know a quarterback doesn’t throw them to himself. He needs people to catch them and block, defense make plays and coaches to coach and these are all great team awards so pretty cool,” Brady said.

Josh Gordon is the 71th different receiver to catch a touchdown from the quarterback.

“Similar to what I said last week, to catch any pass from Tom is amazing, let alone some history making catch or pass for him. I told him congratulations. I know there’s many more from him to come. Hopefully he’s got a lot more left in him. I’m pretty sure he does, so I’m looking forward to that,” Gordon said.

In his second game with the Pats, Gordon was able to catch two of his four targets for 50 yards and a touchdown.
Brady did a really good job during the game, and head coach Bill Belichick praised him.

“Yeah, it’s tremendous. That’s a lot of touchdown passes to a lot of different guys too. No quarterback I’d rather have than Tom Brady. He does a great job week-in and week-out, year-in and year-out, all the situations he does a great job,” Belichick said.
