Watch: Julian Edelman Scores First TD Of 2018

Julian Edelman is back in the game.

The Patriots wide receiver came back to Foxboro after finishing his four-game suspension, and he is ready to roll. Julian Edelman has already played in one game this season, and he is more than ready to score.

The receiver has not had a touchdown since February of 2017 in the Super Bowl 51 contest against the Atlanta Falcons. Edelman missed the entire 2017 campaign due to a torn ACL, and he was hit with a four-game suspension that kept him away from Gillette Stadium in the first month of the regular season.

Edelman came back to the field for the big win over the Indianapolis Colts, and his presence was not felt until Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The receiver scored his first touchdown, meaning that maybe it is time for the undefeated Chiefs to be… defeated.

Edelman’s touchdown put New England 17-6.

Everyone would agree that it is nice to have Edelman back, and now the Patriots offense is literally unstoppable. The team scored 38 points in the game against the Colts, and they already have 17 points in the second quarter against the undefeated Chiefs. This is good news for everybody cheering on the Patriots and Julian Edelman.

The receiver is able to open up the middle of the field for his teammates in a way that cannot be copied. No other player has the talent to perform this way. This creates ideal conditions for Rob Gronkowski, Josh Gordon and Chris Hogan. The trio will now have enough space to make huge plays on the field.

The Patriots missed Edelman as he is the engine that carries the offense. Does New England look like a Super Bowl team again? Absolutely. This is just the beginning, and the Pats are just warming up.
