James White Addresses Injury Scare After Week 9 Game

The New England Patriots defeated the Green Bay Packers, and their 31-17 win was more than spectacular. James White had an excellent game last night, and finished with 102 yards from scrimmage and two rushing touchdowns in the win.

Late in the second quarter, James White shocked Patriots fans and his status was unclear. The running back limped off the field after his 6-yard carry and flexed his left leg on the sideline. His replacement, Cordarrelle Patterson was in, and everyone was worried about White.

The running back did not play another snap in the first half of the contest, and was used sparingly in the second halftime. White touched the ball just once, and in the fourth quarter he touched the football seven times on nine plays on something that turned out to be the game-winning touchdown drive. White scored the touchdown, and the fans cheered on him.

“I just had to, you know, shake it out a little bit, let the feeling come back in my knee. Then I was all right,” White said.

He has six catches on seven targets in the win, is up to 61 receptions on the season. “For me, I just go out there and put my best foot forward each time I step out on the field. It doesn’t matter if I have 61 receptions or 10 receptions, I just want to go out there and play hard, help my team get wins. It’s not really about the stats for me. I’m just trying to help my team,” White said.

James White was one of the brightest stars that evening, and he made quite an appearance on the field. The Patriots took this game seriously, and did not let anything slip down their hands. They won, and are off to another great win. Good luck, Pats!
