Tom Brady Releases Bold Statement About Julian Edelman’s Condition This Season

Patriots receiver Julian Edelman will enter Sunday’s game at Nissan Stadium ranked second on the New England in receptions.

Edelman missed the 2017 season due to a torn ACL, but he still had great game this year. He missed the first four weeks of the season for violating the league’s policy on PEDs. James White is the only player that marked better accomplishment than Edelman.

The 32-year old receiver came back on Oct. 4 and helped the team confront the Indianapolis Colts.

“Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, Julian’s been such a great player for our team. I think his mental and physical toughness are just unmatched in a lot of ways. I have so much confidence in him,” quarterback Tom Brady said during his press conference Friday.

Edelman drew 44 targets from Brady in the last five contests. White has 51.

BRADY-TO-EDELMAN PASSING LOG
• Week 5 vs. Indianapolis: 7-of-9 for 57 yards
• Week 6 vs. Kansas City: 4-of-7 for 54 yards, touchdown
• Week 7 vs. Chicago: 5-of-8 for 36 yards, touchdown
• Week 8 vs. Buffalo: 9-of-10 for 104 yards
• Week 9 vs. Green Bay: 6-of-10 for 71 yards

Experts witnessed 31 completitions for 311 yards, 17 first downs and a couple of touchdowns.

Edelman is on a pace to finish his season with 74 completitions, 746 yards, 40 first touchdowns and a couple of touchdowns.

“He really does all the dirty work for us. He’s so scrappy, goes in there and blocks hard, catches balls over the middle. We put him in a lot of different positions, and he always seems to come through for us. So, battling what he’s really had to battle and come back from is impressive in itself,” Brady added.

“He’s extremely tough, he’s been very durable playing-wise, outside of his ACL and a couple other little things. But he’s been out there a lot for us, and again, we have a lot of confidence in him as a player.”
