Report: LeBron James Just Passed Michael Jordan In Career Points

LeBron James came in Los Angeles to win, and he has already reached a couple of milestones. In his last statistical milestone, the king of basketball passed Michael Jordan in career points scored in a regular season and playoffs.

LeBron was 13 points behind Michael Jordan in total career points before the Lakers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks. He scored 26 points in the team’s 107-106 win over the Harks, and brought his total to 38,292 points. If you are still counting, this is 31,381 points in the regular season and 6,911 points from the postseason.

Michael Jordan had a total of 38,279 points, (32,292 regular season / 5,987 playoffs) in his 15 seasons with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wixards.

Right after LeBron’s third championship win in 2016, his first wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform, LeBron told Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated that his great motivation is actually taking the title from his idol.

“My motivation is this ghost I’m chasing. The ghost played in Chicago,” LeBron said.

“What I’ve gone through is totally different than what he went through. What he did was unbelievable, and I watched it unfold. I looked up to him so much. I think it’s cool to put myself in position to be one of those great players, but if I can ever put myself in position to be the greatest player, that would be something extraordinary.”

Taking a milestone from Jordan is a great achievement, and LeBron is probably happy that he hit it. His Airness is 911 points ahead of King James in regular-season points. LeBron had 26.4 points per game at the moment, and if he keeps at this pace, he will move ahead of Jordan in 35 games.

That’s a real talent. That’s what we have been trying to point out this whole time. Keep up the good job, King James!
