Watch: LeBron James Redeems Himself With Clutch Putback Slam for Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James had hard time shooting free throws in the clutch so far for his new squad. On October 22nd, with the Los Angeles Lakers up 142-141 against the San Antonio Spurs and just 12.8 seconds left in the overtime, King James misses a couple of free throws that would have almost sealed a Lakers win or at least a few seconds overtime period.

The San Antonio Spurs won the game after Patty Mills managed to drain a jumper and LeBron missed a long game-winner in a last-ditch redemption attempt.

Sunday night shared a similar tale but had a better ending for the king of basketball.

In this one, the Los Angeles Lakers were down a point to the Atlanta Hawks and needed another free throw to deadlock the game. They really need just another free throw. After the hard foul, LeBron stepped to the line and missed his free throws. Again.

Kyle Kyzma got a hand on the miss, and managed to tap it once off the backboard before being able to corral it. although he missed the ensuing flip shot, King James crashed the glass and slammed the ball home to give his team the lead, hanging on the very rim for several seconds after his clutch dunk.

Tyson Chandler secured the big win minutes later when he managed to swat a Trae Young floater out of the air as the Atlanta Hawks players howled for a call.

The Los Angeles Lakers escaped with a win this time, but King James will sure beat himself up for being unable to hit clutch free throws again.

The Lakers are on a good way now, but they still have to work on the game. The chemistry is here, but they really need to work on the details.
