Colin Cowherd Has One Critical Worry For Patriots Come Postseason

The Super Bowl went through Foxboro seven times in the past 15 years. Colin Cowherd believes that the Patriots need to make it happen once again, and this season is more important than ever.

In Tuesday’s edition of “The Herd” on Fox Sports 1, Cowherd expressed his concern for the Patriots and their playoff time.

“I think at home, I think when they can get the ball rolling, I think this is a very good football team with the best coach in the NFL and an elite quarterback. Pass rush is hit and miss. Gronk, physically, week to week is hit and miss. And by the way, Tom this year is 18th in completion percentage, passer rating is 16th. I do believe this is one of those years they could use home field in January. I don’t think they can go on the road and beat a Kansas City or Pittsburgh or Houston this year. I just don’t,” Cowherd said.

The host has a few reasons to think this way. The Patriots have three losses this season, and each of them came on the road. Every loss was suffered in a convincing style. If by any chance you have not noticed, New England only has two road wins this season, and one of them comes against the Buffalo Bills.

Playing postseason games away from Foxboro is foreign to the Patriots. The team is 3-4 in road playoff tilts during the Belichick era. If you take into consideration the success of the Chiefs and the Chargers, New England cam be tasked with playing January football away from Foxboro. If this happens, the Patriots will get the opportunity to curb their road woes before the playoffs, as three of the remaining six regular-season games will be played far from Gillette Stadium. Will the Patriots win these games?
