Look: Dion Lewis Walks Back Patriots Trash Talk

Dion Lewis is still angry at his former teammates, and he used the Patriots’ loss to the Tennessee Titans to get even.
The Titans defeated the Patriots 34-10, and Dion Lewis went at New England for not signing him in free agency.

Hell yeah it’s personal. That’s what happens when you go cheap. You get your ass kicked,” Lewis said after the Patriots’ loss to the Titans.

The Titans running back signed a four-year deal with the Tennessee Titans for $20 million. Things did not go really bad for Lewis, but he is still angry at the Patriots for showing no interest in him.

“I didn’t have to prove anything. I know I can play. I just had to let our team know that these guys are beatable. … I know those guys. I know that you be physical with them and let ’em have it and they’ll fold,” Lewis said.
His comments triggered an avalanche of reactions by past and present players. Head coach Bill Belichick did not really pay attention to Lewis’ comments.

Media members asked Lewis for more clarification on his attitude. He said that his words were “nothing personal.”

“I’m a feisty guy, everybody knows that. I have to be that way, I’m (5-foot-7). So I have to carry an edge or chip, so that’s just how I am and that’s what’s gotten me to where I am. So it’s nothing personal, that’s just the type of person I am, the player I am,” Lewis said.

Let’s hope that this is enough for the Patriots to ignore Lewis’ comments. He did not just say those words for nothing. But, fixing things is a good move, and maybe Lewis just feels bad for saying what he said. The Patriots helped him sign a good deal with the Titans, so he better say ‘thanks.’
