LeBron James Broke His Silence On Rajon Rondo’s Hand Injury

The Los Angeles Lakers were hit by a terrible surprise on Wednesday night. They will be obliged to play without veteran point guard Rajon Rondo due to a fractured hand. Lakers fans were really disappointed, because nobody wanted this to happen. The Lakers played their best basketball in the last few games, and this fracture was the last thing they needed.

The team got veteran center Tyson Chandler, and everything worked fine until the fracture. The Lakers have not lost a game since Chandler’s signing, and that may change now. According to Lakers head coach Luke Walton, Rajon Rondo is not expected to come back for a few weeks.

Lakers star LeBron James feels terrible, and shared his thoughts on Rondo’s fracture right after his team defeated the Portland Trail Blazers.

“It’s tough. He’s one or our captains. One of our leaders. I heard we have great surgeons here in LA, so get right to it. Start his rehab as fast as possible. Get him back. It’s next man up,” he said.

The Lakers will have to try extra hard now that their veteran guard is out for a few weeks. LeBron said that Rondo’s injury is serious, and he may even require a surgery to have it fixed. In other words, Rondo will be sidelined for an extended period.

Lonzo Ball will take on the starting PG spot, and will actually re-claim the starting role he had last year which slipped down his hands after Rondo arrived.

King James said that he and his teammates will need to get behind their injured teammate and do their best to keep his spirits up while he recovers.

“I know Rondo hates the fact of what he’s going through right now, but we all have to pick him up in his absence,” he said.

Let’s hope that the veteran guard will get better soon.
